Dominican citizens can travel visa free to specific visa-exempt countries or obtain a visa on arrival. The exact requirements and restrictions vary depending on the country or territory. For example, when comparing Antigua and Dominica citizenship, Antigua citizens are slightly less restricted than Dominica citizens.

Visa free destinations: Dominica passport holders can visit several countries visa free. As of October 2024, they can access 145 countries without regular visas or obtain a visa on arrival (VOA).

Electronic visa (eVisa): Some countries offer Dominicans evisa access, which can be obtained online before departure. eVisa holders can produce their visa upon arrival to gain entry.

Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA): eTA countries allow Dominicans to request visa exemption through an electronic travel authorization system.

Holders Dominican passports previously had visa free entry to the United Kingdom, with a stay of up to six months. However, the British government, after highlighting security concerns regarding the country’s citizenship program, opted to revoke Dominica passport visa free access to the UK, effective 19 July 2023.
Ireland’s Minister of Justice, Helen McEntee, also highlighted issues regarding Dominica’s program. The Irish government renounced visa free entry for Dominicans on 7 March 2024.

Canada is not a visa free country for Dominica citizens. Dominicans must have a valid visa issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) travel to Canada.

Dominica citizens can no longer gain access the UK visa free and must obtain a visa to travel there.

The maximum stay for Dominica citizens in visa free countries varies. While some allow a short stay of up to 30 days, others may permit stays 90 to 180 days. Member states of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States allow Dominica citizens to stay indefinitely, in accordance with the policy “Free Movement of Persons in the Eastern Caribbean.”

Dominica citizens can enter Russia without a visa by presenting a valid passport with at least six months of validity upon arrival.

Tourists from Dominica are eligible for visa on arrival in several countries, including Argentina and Uzbekistan, allowing for convenient travel without prior visa approval.
