Dominica passports are blue biometric Caribbean passports. Four types of passports are issued to citizens:

Who can get a Dominican passport?
The Commonwealth of Dominica Citizenship Act determines the following individuals as citizens who have the right to a Dominica passport:
Birth: Individuals born in Dominica
Descent: Individuals born to a Dominican parent.
Registration: Individuals married to a Dominican national or with a Dominican adopted parent.
Naturalization: Dominica residents who have legally resided in the country for at least seven years.
Investment: Individuals who invest in Dominica through the citizenship by investment program.
Dominica citizenship by investment
Under section 101 of the Commonwealth of Dominica’s constitution and sections 8 and 20 of the nation’s Citizenship Act, foreign nationals and qualifying dependents can get a Dominica passport by investing in the economy. The minimum investment is $200,000 for a single applicant and $250,000 for a family of up to four.
There are two investment options:
- Donation to the Economy Diversification Fund (EDF): A non-refundable contribution of $200,000 to the EDF.
- Approved real estate investment: An approved Dominica real estate investment valued at least $200,000.

Applying for a Dominica passport requires the following documents:
- Completed Dominican passport application form
- Multi-Purpose Identification (MPID) Card
- Passport application fees, paid to theTreasury Department (a birth certificate and a marriage certificate – if the female applicant is married – must be presented to the cashier at the Treasury Department before the fees are paid)
- Treasury receipt as proof of passport application fee payment
- Two recent passport-size photographs (45mm x 38mm)
- Original birth certificate and certified copy
- Written notarized order (if collecting a passport on behalf of the applicant)
- Police report (for lost of stolen passports)
- Lost, stolen, or damaged passports must be reported to the Immigration Department in Roseau, the nearest police station, or your nearest Dominica Consulate.
How to Apply for the Commonwealth of Dominica Passport
The Dominica passport process includes applying through the Passport and Immigration Department or an embassy or high commission abroad. Exact steps and fees may vary depending on the path to citizenship, the individual, and the location applied.
- Complete the official Dominica passport application form. Enter biodata and get a qualified Dominican to endorse the application.
- Gather the required documents. This may include an expired passport, proof of citizenship, a letter of consent for minor children, a Multi-Purpose Identification (MPID) Card, or proof of marital status.
- Include two identical passport photos. The photos must be 45mm x 38 mm and no more than six months old. The endorser must sign the back of one photo.
- Pay passport application fees. The Dominica passport cost will vary depending on whether you’re applying for a new passport or replacing a lost or damaged one.
